In sense, that people into local live noise scene - I would estimate a lot of people come and go. In terms of physical international art, it is often amusing to see how many of the same guys are there since the 80's! Like DS book may display, local scenes disappear when couple key figures no longer than and the crucial venues no longer there, but some timeless elements of noise remain.

I've always stressed the importance of creating a physical document and seeking international networking over merely playing / attending local shows. It is simply more permanent, more rewarding than putting time and energy into a local scene that can falter within a few years.

I concur with that sentiment 100%. Power Electronics/Noise/Industrial has always been and in my opinion, been more so about documenting with some kind of physical product and also making, like you say those connections and networking with others in the world. Local scenes do seem to come and go with time and this appears to be evidently true in America especially. I think by having some sort of documentation out there, then there is a chance for the material to possibly be rediscovered again at a later period in time. It can be revisited and less easily forgotten.

Been collecting Bastard Noise for a few to several months and was finally able to go through Eric himself in May and June. I like the aspect that most my MITB/BN collection is a high percentage of vinyl. Compared to other artists in my collection is CD, CDr or cassette percentage wise. I have been on a winning spree for the past couple years of not purchasing mundane noise. All is great and interesting. Bizarre Uproar/Filth & Violence, and now Bastard Noise. All of it is far from the mundane.

I also understand there's been connection between Aspa, Markkula and Wood since 90s along with a few others. I think of 90s word of mouth or was it something else connecting them internationally? I don't want to mislead with misinformation. More of wanting to ask how.

Also  Eric Wood wins my award of the most unwarped records I have ever received in the mail!

Eric certainly loves his vinyl, and he has only the highest expectations for quality.  I was sent a copy of the recent Bastard Noise/+Dog+ collaboration lp, and that has to be the heaviest record that I own---it seems almost twice as thick as most other records in my collection!  He has also used the same vinyl mastering services used by the likes of Tupac and other very big bands.
