Thanks!  I will have to try experimenting with those some more.  Altering speeds of sounds can produce some really cool, oppressive noises.

What sorta equipment are you using?

I figured I may as well try recording some of the shit I come up with when intoxicated but everything seems to end up sounding so muffled and dead i.e. https://resection.bandcamp.com/track/i-4

I mostly make black/death metal songs and have a reasonable idea of what I'm doing 'production' wise there but with this I'm fucking clueless, haha.
