Even if it is said to be live tape, I think A-side is something that's been edited. One could perhaps compare it to some IOPS "ideas" of having disturbing sound art mixed with "actual" noise piece. Meaning, that whole a-side of this is nothing but heavy breating with very lo-fi recording, possibly contact mic? I think there was moments like this in live, but not this long. It is disturbing, when you expect violence hit anytime, but it just doesn't. Of course I ruined it for others who have yet to hear it, hah. It's called "Stalker", and I guess this is tribute for the lusthungry men ogling women and perhaps gratifying themselves. Perfect visial would be perhaps the public masturbator harassment videos.. (should maybe appreciate them in art section..)
But for the fans of actual PE, B-side is the live assault from Helsinki Bunker. It's just two guys, with dynamic microphone and I think contact mic plugged in amp. I think there was distortion pedal and delay effect, but even them used with moderation. Some tracks are almost exclusively vocal tracks. Noise is minimal or almost non-existent. While set goes forward, louder piercing feedback noise starts to create actual "musical" background for the songs. It is very unique. At the same time some of the most minimalist and extreme sonic disturbance and something that pretty much nobody else is doing. Lyrics can be often heard. And it is the known tracks like Hail Black Rapists, good clean fun, kristiina, etc.. I hope Snuff will someday perform another time!
