Quite annoying, but also in some ways interesting case:
Finnish prime-minister taking part of currently going lower level city/county elections. Approached by some loser, who kneels in front of him, handing over kitchen knife, handle first to the minister saying he came to "fake kill him" (whatever translation would suit the best). Just media trick to get his "political ideas heard".
Of course media is all about "attempted stabbing of prime-minister", while this was never the case. However, in middle of day, in Turku, if he wanted, he could have stabbed. Or shot. Or.. well, basically done whatever someone pleases.
Case is annoying, because it again shows how retarted hysteria is being produced by media. They will talk about attempted kill or attempted stabbing while they know it wasn't the case. Just to sell papers exaggerations and misinformation is being flamed all over papers and prime time TV.
Next thing we have is "concerned citizen" demanding something silly, like more surveillance cameras, more big brother, and whatever. As if this would have any effect on anything.
Will you ban kitchen knives? Will you perform body search on every person walking on public? If not, then the reality is that whether politicians, ministers, president, corporation bosses.. etc.. live or die, is simply based on morality of surrounding people. Anyone could be killed, with no detailed plans, with no major effort. It just requires man next to you suddenly take razor sharp knife and assault. That's what makes news interesting. As much as we have all sorts of shit going on in society, there hardly ever happens assault on the people who are the biggest enablers of things going wrong. We have scandalous news of all sorts of extremists, but in reality, whole fragile system remains untouched and respected.
I visited punk forum with discussion of news, and I didn't see single message saying stabbing that prick would have been good. All I saw was "he is asshole, but I don't approve things like this". Of course, bourgeois posers. It would have been great to get news of some serious ass-stabbing.
