Been reading a lot of Bataille as of lately. Currently finishing Penguin Classics trilogy of My Mother, Madame Edwarda & The Dead Man. Absolutely astonishing. Just started Le Coupable aswell. One of the greatest pleasure of reading him is to find lines which were extracted from his books and rearranged as the lyrics for DsO's Fas- Ite (...). Not least Madame Edwarda's (more than) influence on Diabolus Absconditus. There are some fan-made texts online in which people engane on analysing their lyrics and establishing connections between them and philosophers alike. I myself, after finishing a Psychology master degree's on Lacan and Bataille, plan to endeavour a rigorous interpretation of that album's lyrics based on the latter writer, but that's for the future.
