I like that you bring up Krautrock because the link between the two of them is huge - not in sound obviously but the dichotomy of musical variables that converge in a certain place, time and attitude are huge. Like how do you go from Crossed Out and a few short years later you've got Drome Triler of Puzzle Zoo People dropping out of that same scene? I feel that getting turned on to that scene at a very young age really shaped everything I wound up getting into as a result of it once I opened my mind beyond the rigid dogma of the punk scene. Noise, free jazz, psychedelia, krautrock, prog, etc. I can connect the dots on almost anything I'm listening to back to some aspect of it.
Also I'm just a tad wary of these reunion shows after watching the botched abortion that was Siege earlier this year so forgive my catankerous ranting on that. There are super cool current bands out there - Sea of Shit, Iron Lung, Intensive Care.... maybe more? I'm out of the loop.....
