The Phosgen LP is well-worth seeking out; last track on s2 is intense! DJK sounds familiar but there's a lot on discogs with those initials.

maybe A Swarm of Locusts? Split 7" on Stateart is very good/heavy but I do not know if the project was also from Germany. Discogs doesn't give any info.

What about Victim Kennel? Seems like they were from the Fatherland but a little more rough sounding. Seems like I had a cd-r along with the War Against Society set.

I have a tape or 2 by Wolverine (maybe a split?) & remember them being much better than Predominance.

First 3 vinyl releases from Thorofon were damn good then the 2nd full-length LP is good but after that, I stopped paying attention.

"Fragmentation" CD by Canadian project Orphx fits beautifully into this catagory - I have never heard owt else by them. Also French band Sonie.

Netzach

Their LP is pretty good. Very heavy.

Oh, thought this was about acts FROM Germany, not 'german'-style...

Yeah, Orphx were pretty good. I think I've met one of the members but can't remember. Could have been a label-head who did a comp with Orphx that I also contributed to.

Steve

Yeah, first Netzach album is an absolute must - wasn't the chap inviolved also part od Stabat Mors and early Column One? Could be wrong (I usually am).

Another great one:  Einleitungszeit
Absolutely.  They've come a long way without looking back or forgetting where they've been.  The past couple of albums, Human Scrap and Die Infektion der Geburt, have been difficult to beat.  One of their downfalls can be too many tracks, thus too many ideas, so these albums aren't incredibly cohesive; but  track to track, there are some bona fide classics and top shelf powerhouses on them.  Some of the sounds they get are not only unmatched, but they're also unique.  Those albums may lack cohesion and lose their way [as albums], but they're skilled at everything they do.  Every once in a while Gelsomina treads in similar waters.

Human Scrap
"Like a convoy of Tiger tanks and a squadron of war machines, this is some of the most destructive work they've done in years. I don't remember them ever getting this violent. It's less of a flowing album and more of a representation of the many highly skilled sides of Einleitungszeit over the course of 11 tracks. On the front side of the CD are a couple tracks of old school power-electronics ala the noisier side of Whitehouse, and I'm not using the that reference loosely. In the middle, there are a couple of inviting, menacing, cold, stark, dark ambient tracks, one of which has a soft spoken French woman reading throughout it. On the back end, you have a few tracks with vintage Einleitungszeit furnace blasts, hydraulic press steel manipulation, frying electronics, etc. One of the devastating industrial tracks is like an all-out viscous battle between a glass factory and a steel factory; some of the best sounds they've ever made. Fear not, for the final tracks are absolute triturators. If you think you like industrial sounds, if you think you know industrial music, you haven't experienced the pinnacle of the genre until you've heard these folks."
"the overindulgent machines were their children"
I only buy vinyl, d00ds.

saw them live in Erlagen about 10 years ago.
they were the highlight of the festival. everyone was there for Pan sonic, which somehow got lost in the way, but that was enough for me to be happy .

Sturmovik i'm not sure

Sturmovik is much more... should I say "military ambient" with industrial leanings? Not so heavy and power electronics.
At times they remind me of Turbund Sturmwerk, in other parts I get a clear LJDLP influence. Nothing groundbreaking, but a good listen nonetheless.
I wonder who the guys behind this project are, I still like their two LPs pretty much.

Mention of Orphx reminds me of -

Cazzo Dio - ill tempo della locusta
Often rhythmic, occasionally harsh, pe-ish flatulance. Good stuff. Other Cazzo Dio I've heard is more firmly in the vein of harsh noise... extremely harsh noise, as I recall.

Funny, but I'd thought to mention both of these in response to the request for Dissecting Table-like recommendations, but then I decided I had no idea what fans of DT were necessarily looking for.

Early SPK, an obvious influence on all the above, would be another likely contender...

Wait.. Diktat is a side project of Gabriele Giuliani. Not born in germany but I remember that the sound style is the same of the overmentioned projects

Second the DIKTAT recommendation.
