Not directed at anyone in particular. But looking through the post of "self-promotion" it seems that most people are pretty bad at judging photos of themselves performing.
Anyway it seems that the most pleasing pictures are often the least informative, most obscure ones (the other end of the spectrum being ugly flash-lit up-front photos where everything is clearly visible and you see the artist making some stupid face). A lot of the photos in this thread would look extremely weird to someone who didn't know what noise was - the Shift photo, the last two of Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck, (both really cool) etc. The photos ARKHE uploaded of AOF and Prurient have really nice light, contrast etc. but there's not too much excitement in the subjects themself, even less for someone who doesn't know the artists I think...
Also can we stop taking zoomed out pictures where you see the whole area in front of the stage and that there's only like 3 bored-looking people in attendance. So depressing
