Sound-wise, a very acceptable series of feedback generated drones that put me into mind of Crawl Unit, particularly the first two tracks. The title track was a bit too minimal and dreary for a first listen but the manipulation of "Hey Miss Office Party" worked a lot better (and is probably the best piece of the album). There are, however, a few things wrong with this release.
I don't quite understand why two distinct pieces are cut into four, except to accommodate the track titles. Which is the main problem - the disconnect between the "subject matter" and the actual sound. I couldn't help but think that if these very same pieces where put out with a totally different name, it would make not the slightest bit of difference.
As for the image - it's a real symptom of feminism in the comfy countries to focus attention on unimportant minutiae. For example, while the nation of India is on the streets demanding an end to rape, no less, Veldon is venting her spleen at a series of ads that few outside of her country (and, no doubt, quite a few in it) would give a toss about.
I've heard Veldon's work before, although I can't remember which album, exactly, it was, but this is definitely an audio improvement. I like the sounds, but wish it didn't have to be decorated with something so facile.
