Finally after so many delays and what not it´s finally here.

IRM has already existed for over 10 years and are recognized as one of the most interesting Industrial bands around. It is now evident on this album that they are a three piece band, as the new member Mikael O. displays the full spectrum of his bass-guitar strummings.

"This new work by IRM is a deeper delving into the psyche of the self inflictor – the core of inner regions violently exposed. Comprised by four tracks, each exactly 15 minutes in length we are thrown into a vortex of feedback, cymbaldrones, heavy bass-strumming, nightmarish pianotinkles and irreproachable synthwork. Demanding your attention all the way through – certainly not an easy listening experience – describing the course of events is impossible. It is again a mature and intricate work of incisive delicacies and theatrical ambiences. The sense of detail throughout is immense and the editing perfect. The clinical heaviness of earlier works are now transformed into a pure harsh, static soundwave which are most often cut off by another, slower, softer but in ways a more painful and dynamic one. The lyrics here are deeper cuts into personal matters. A man altering between life and death - a calculating and disillusive thinker and recluse who has lost the grip of reality, or perhaps found another? The strife for self-control turned into sick dedication, waging war on himself to receive recognition – the end comes nearer. Seldom have we heard a strange work like this which turns both lyrics and music into a full whole – stay away if deeper encounters with the human mind offends."

The creative artwork has been made by the renowned Swedish artist Stefan Danielsson, who also made the frontcover artwork for Whitehouse album "Racket"

anyone been getting a response from Cold Meat?

(sorry Martin Shift - had already ordered from them!)

Ritual

I pre-ordered mine as I was getting a few other items from CMI. Got a response back then, and have paid, but I'm still waiting for my records. It's quite common that it takes a while, though...

Untergangfarbe

Most likely not, and we don´t know whats wrong... Trying to sort it out asap. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MR STAB

Much more rounder and full album! Its a pity that Mr KAOTIC! Ruined the the whole layout of the cd!

bogskaggmannen

I'm curious to hear more comments on this album. Even if I may be a bit biased towards IRM and I somewhat prefer the easier structures on many a track from "Virgin Mind" I still think this is a very intense CD and way beyond most groups operating in the more experimental area of power electronics/industrial today. In ways it is more accessible than before (the pure, harsher parts are pretty few) but as a whole it is very non-accessible in terms of lyrical content and fast throws between silence and something entirely different.

On a sidenote to this - Segerhuva haven't got their distribution copies either yet.

ARKHE

A shame that it hasn't been distributed properly yet. I got my copy from the band right from the print so... It's an amazing album. As bögskäggmannen said, there is an intensity in it, especially with the texts, that surpass most of what I hear today - the level of nightmarish obsession with self-emasculation leaves me sickened, combine that with the carefully crafted noises, drones and atmospheres and Bladh's equally menacing vocals. I like the clattering of strings (sounds like someone fondling a detuned piano) a lot, and the audible bass guitar elements, giving the album an organic, more musical feel.
Given that it's 4x15 minutes, it's a rather demanding album to sit through, but on the other hand a lot more to, ehm, enjoy.

With this album, longside the recent ALTAR OF FLIES lp, and if my expectations are met by the new SEWER ELECTION and ÄTTESTUPA lp's, I'd say Swedish industrial/etc is doing quite fine.

This is unacceptable!
I suggest that you cancel your order at CMI, and order it from our good friend Unrest productions instead. Will propbably be much quicker.
