I didn't go to UCB, but used to work in that area. Cal students are universally reviled by service workers who have to interact with them. They are clueless, entitled and reflexively greedy.
I did go to another liberal college. I recall one class in which the local radical queer militia succeeded in steering every open discussion into a discussion about queer/feminist POC identity. It was a class on Nietzsche.
