Just bought a new house and got my new record player (Pro-Ject) and speakers (Focal) hooked up. Made some shelves for my 7"s and got the 12"s stored in an Ikea Expedit. Upstairs i have a room filled with cd's, books and movies.

Which Focal models are those?

I only buy vinyl, d00ds.

Chorus v 806. Never bothered to get decent speakers so this is a big improvement for me.

Decent speakers make a huge difference. I too only got good ones earlier this year, along w/ a new Project turntable, and I get much more value out of my records now. Well worth it.

Most of my LPs are in that wooden box below my hi-fi. Some other records, my tapes and most of my CDs aren't shown on the picture.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Where have you bought the 7" boxes?

impulse manslaughter

These are wooden boxes from www.protected.de. Made for 130/150 7"s but i have 100/110 in each.

Fix your records... they should stand up straight as possible... they are warping as I type this...

Speakers: PolkAudio Monitor70 Series II
Headphones: Sennheiser HD-600
Amp: Sansui 7000
Turntable: Dual 1219 w/ Shure V15 Type III cartridge
CD player: Sony 5 disc player (who cares, rarely use it)

Not pictured: Nakamichi BX-125 and NAD 6340 cassette decks (both broken). I've been using one of the last model Sony cassette walkmans and running it into my amp with a 1/8" to RCA cable.

The Sansui amp is a monster. Serious power. When I'm listening to the floorspeakers, I can't put the volume much past 4 or else I'll disturb my neighbors (apartment building). Got it for free from a buddy of mine not too long ago, I need to clean it but i've liked it so much since I hooked it up that I haven't bothered. It's got a dead bug in the front display and all the stickers on the buttons have fallen off but I can reprint those easy.

The Sennheiser cans are the most recent addition and my first step into "high end" headphones. They're great, I've been going back and relistening to my favorite recordings and everything sounds so much better.

Next purchase will probably be a tube amp of some sort. Either a tube headphone amp or a tube phono preamp.

nice taxidermy & flag combo!

thanks, ya that ensemble really ties the room together

My grandpa shot the buck, my dad shot the mallard. Dad was going to throw them away during a move but I gladly saved them from the trash. I've never bagged anything I considered worthy of getting done. The thing that looks like a spike coming out of the duck's head is a pheasant tailfeather leaning against the wall

I wanna see more pics of people's setups!
