I'm not sure of the timeline, but there's a deleted CDr titled "Gacy's Feast" that was released prior to "Paraesthesia..."

There is a lot of stuff that seems to be cancelled or name changed. I'm just pissed they never put out that comp they advertised. Had an insane lineup on it.

Emeralds - Boring Bullshit Drone Band (American Tapes)
After a late night in the French Market dungeon, I need a calmer piece to wind down with.  This recent acquisition oughta do the trick.  Debates over whether or not Emeralds should be categorized into "noise proper" can be had, but no doubt that releases like this are firmly rooted in the ethos and sound of the culture.
Starting with the title, story I got is that it was a Michigan showgoer who said this about the band when speaking to John Olson.  Hah.  Band leans into this nasty remark too, as the release certainly drones for its duration.  What breaks the sound up though are echoes of vocal babble percussive room noise (forks and knives?  Some small gong??).  Application of the terms "domestic noise" or "shitnoise" would be apt here (although the latter tends to be a bit more blown out than this recording is).
Overall, it is a nice way to wind down on the evening.  Showcases that even at their most tongue-in-cheek, this trio was capable of producing some breathtaking soundscapes.

Due Process - RRRadio 41-55 (RRRecords)
After a quiet morning revisiting the aforementioned Emeralds CDr, I popped in this double tape set to wake myself up. I have bits and pieces of the RRRadio series; the first 5, some of the middle performances & now this final one.  I can see why the group decided it was time to end the series at this point.  There is a marked difference between this series and the earliest installments.  The group sounds much more locked in and in sync with both the sound sources and each other.  It carries a compositional tightness that is more in line with RRRon's Emil Beaulieau practices than Due Process
When it comes to the actual sounds though, it is still the same weirdness we can expect from the group in this stage; lots of tape skips, voicemail samples, droning hums --- all terrific stuff.  I traveled a bit around the house while listening and there was not a second where I wasn't locked into the performance at hand.  The whole set ends on this rather annoying, high-pitched squeal, as if to say "you sure you want more of this?"  Hah.  No thanks, but what you guys had going beforehand was phenomenal.
