Got Frozen Music today. It's good, pretty much more of what you expect from current era FFH. Strong vocal delivery, lots of low fidelity harsh looping from atypical sounding sources, and a few different news story samples, one of an apparent murder case and the rest being news snippets from different world conflicts. The track "Project 6" is pretty hilarious and I don't know if that's intended. Maybe it's a joke about having the 6th generic PE project, and it may even be a jab at Dom, since it's delivered by someone who doesn't sound like Richard and they're just listing off what are essentially porn search terms of every imaginable variety, as well as some "other" stuff. Overall though the tone of the rest of the tracks before and after that one is pretty serious and in line with the releases before it.

To be polite, very short. I think Alberich did 15 minutes and then FFH got the 12 captured there. Surprised he didn't get more but I understand they had to let GO get their room.

What was the running order of the festival, btw ? From the little I recall, it was organized on a single day, right? I wonder how much time was given to every project/band during the day, and if eventually Hospital will put out some physical release of it ?

I'm still gutted I didn't jump over the chance to pre-order the FFH 4xCS boxset to be honest, that seemed like once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

The more time passes, the more significant Make Them Understand feels not just as an album, but as a send-off and encapsulation of a certain era of New York noise. The Hospital store, Red Light District, the Yellow Tears family tree etc. A perfect record. The glaring absence of Make Them Understand and Women In The War from the box set hopefully means standalone LP / CD re-issues are in the works.

It varied, White Shamrock opened and got maybe 10-15 minutes? Detonation Day felt like 20, Star was pretty short. The "bands" got some solid set times but Alberich did about 15 minutes. Genocide Organ got a full hour if my memory serves me right.

If anyone is selling a copy of Frozen Music, PM me. I have been playing it non-stop recently and I am feeling very appreciative of 10"s as a format for PE at the moment. Can't wait for What Might Have Been to arrive.

FFH makes a wonderful guest appearance on the new Age Of Enlightenment tape, Join UFO Cults. Very funny and poignant lyrics delivered in his trademark agonized, disease-stricken style.
Very good tape. As always with AoE, the sound of some very skilled, very deliberate craftsmen trying to sound like they don't know what they're doing. It's not uncommon to hear punk or metal bands underplaying for effect, or playing sloppily or poorly for the sake of communicating passion or concept, but noise bands underplaying is much rarer.

Feel ignorant to ask it, but what does "FFH" stands for? Anyway, I believe this is one of the most genuine and gut-wrenching PE projects alive. Inventive enough to be on HP, whilst still maintaning the classic stylistic framework that makes this kind of music eternal. When people point out to "PE being dead", I point towards FFH, STAB Electronics, Climax Denial, Herukrat, Koufar, Deterge... and others. The split with Prurient, Women in the War has one of the best vocal presentations within the genre. Hails to this project.

As people said above (I think in response to me asking the same question!) was that it means and/or has meant "For Future Holocausts."
