"melancholic" noise/PE

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend some "melancholic" or eerie sounding noise/PE. I am thinking of things like Ramleh's Hole in the Heart (specifically "Bite the Bolster" and "Product of Fear"), NWW's Spiral Insana, and even moments of Grunt's Seer of Decay ("Dog in the Leash 1-5"). So I suppose I'm looking for things that are more atmospheric than violent.

Some IRM has very emotional atmosphere, especially live. I remember their show in Holland a few years back, it was very moving. Also some Prurient stuff is pretty somber.

I'm going on the Ramleh as the main reference point, and thinking, how much into dungeon synth/dark ambient... and "industrial ambient" or "death ambient" are you wanting to get into?  I mean how much "horror noise" territory are you willing to work with?  I'm asking because I don't personally care for the very common PE gesture to make synthetic string loops and mix screaming vocals at a very low volume over them, but I can suggest a lot of things otherwise.   

Speaking of Spiral Insana, have you heard "Surveillance Lounge"?

There is also Corephallism, Demonologists, T.O.M.B., very often using noise style application with occasional vocals to make atmospheric but still kind of caustic textures/soundscapes.

I have no genre biases. I have heard a little dungeon synth/dark ambient, most of which bored me to tears. But coming from listening to metal and post-punk, I'd imagine I've heard a lot of badly amateur ambient stuff. The only thing that really gripped me on that end has been the first Vond album. In any case, I am open to anything that might fit the bill affect-wise. So bring on the suggestions!

Maybe look into https://www.discogs.com/label/1540-Fusion-Audio-Recordings  Not limited to atmospheric noise, but when I think of it, I think of this label.  Pre harsh noise walls, there were some folks messing with minimalism and noise that resulted in something closer to ambient noise walls.

I would also look into Daniel Menche.  Legions in the Walls could be considered violent (because of the physicalness of the process), but in that period, The Chrome Homicide, Furious Eclipse, Hymns for Slice Velocities...1994-1996 might be of interest to you.  I'm not very familiar with the past decade or more of his work, but I'm guessing there's something there for you as well.

To push boundaries a little, Organum - Sorow and Nitsch when he gets noisy (Island).  Also, Of Earth and Sun - Uncoiled 2015.
