Indeed, it wasn't bad - but there's still only three songs I'd consider really top drawer. Perhaps just a matter of taste. Actually, managed to see Ken perform a couple of times last year, which was quite a treat! BA were also supposed to be playing in Scotland with Mistreat (!), but the "bioleninists" managed to spoil the fun! Bah!

I sing in this with some other old farts of the Italian Oi/HC scene, mixing everything we like. I'm the youngest and I'm 50s.
If interested I have a few cd and lps lefts, mostly sold out

Talking of Italian stuff, this summer in Finland played live Green Arrow and No Prisöner. Both pretty good. Playing very well, I was told they have past in sXe hardcore, so the looks and skills were about that. Very energetic. Never got the cds/records, though. At the festival, there was Norwegian TV crew making documentary of what is going on in Finland. They have been bugging me probably for couple years to give interview, but always been slightly hesitant to do so. Two days of beer drinking and journalists approached so.. "well, fuck it, lets get it over with..". What was being discussed.. hmm.. not sure. Lets hope edited bits won't be anything extra nasty if pulled out of context, hah..

I know them quite well, especially Green Arrows. I interviewed both No Prisoner and Green Arrows for "Hatecore Connection". I can confirm that Green Arrows come from traditional hardcore, their first two albums were on Vacation House Records, which released albums by Italian hardcore heavyweights like Indigesti, Sottopressione and so on.
After those albums they made a U-turn and signed for Black Shirts Records. In part, this also depends on the particular situation of Trentino, with tensions between Italians and South Tyroleans, and related questions regarding the independence of South Tyrol which polarizes positions.

Ordered some stuff at Rock-O-Rama last week. It seems a lot of the recent reissues have songs with different titles or songs missing. But an original White Noise - First Assault cd is now finally coming my way.

There is legal consequences in many countries. Also Midgård has been reissuing many old classics, that have either songs removed, or all sorts of weird explosions or other sounds added to cover.. nasty words, haha.. Damn.
Some may have followed what has been happening to Rampage (uk) and it not fun times for old skinhead labels that face current day laws.

yes the whole Tyrol indenpendentism is very peculiar in our own view. Average locals always seen them as "NAZIS" also due to George Klotz being a wermacht soldier. While today they are quite left-leaning. Yet there is part of the independentists who feel as Germans. Deutsch Rock band Freiwild are in fact has roots on a NS band but now are shunning their past making antifas claims (also in songs) representing pretty well this contraddiction. As my friend stated people of those bands were part of a "notorious" SXE crew (one of the very few that lasted more than a couple of years) who, despite being quiet people took no shit from antisxe (we had many in Italy). Part of that crew was probably the best sxe Italian band ever existed, Last man standing, who were the Italian Chain fo strength, who were allies of other great bands like think twice, aging and product.

PS: Green arrows cds Face the truth is a blast!!!

I just listened to a few Green Arrows tracks online. Not my style. I love old Italian hardcore and also oi-classics like first Nabat 7" or Basta 7". I remember the Roma straightedge Legion in the 90's, always seemed like a big crew.

On the turntable right now; Condemned 84 - Storming to Power.

For those who care. Rebellion Records just released a 2nd LP of my oi-band; https://www.rebellionshop.com/diamond-dogs-world-serpent-12-mlp-lim-500-2clrs-pre-order-24-11.html

there were different crews in Rome, main one was the generic Roma Crew, Legion was the more militant vegan group. Then other crews. very lively scene indeed. Roma crew gave one of the best Italo-Oi! bands Colonna Infame. Left-wing with very over-the-top lyrics and unpc lyrics (like Erode del 68) and the 80s, the Oi karaoke band who did 2 excellent cover records.

good to know about your band!
