Black Leather Jesus - Sex in the Name of God (Deadline)
Originally released in 1993 on cassette. I'm listening to the 2020 tape reissue.
Side A: Harsh shimmering droning layers of processed scrap metal. Not droning as in mellow, but droning as in an interweaving tapestry of unending layers of processed sounds on top of each other.
Definitely harsh. A little industrial? Harsh industrial drone? Whatever it is, it's fantastic.
It's difficult to tell where one sound source starts and another ends. I might even go as far as to call it psychedelic in a way. Love this side, it's incredible.
Side B: Dense wall-esque noise. It definitely sounds blown out and has some odd digital artifact like sounds. I'm wondering what the original sounds like because after re-reading Mikko's comment above, this sounds reworked or "altered."
