Another score I enjoyed a bit was this more dark ambient piece/OST theme from this "okay" for modern movie, as it challenged it's viewers to think and maybe not modern movie anymore as it was released in 2010, but the film is called Stone. I thought this was a pretty good and inspiring type of score that feels a bit heavy and haunting.

HateSermon

TCM soundtrack getting a release after many bootlegs. All of the long lost tapes were actually archived in a museum and Waxwork pieced them together. Interesting story here:

I really like the soundtracks in Robert Morgan's short films, especially the bass guitar by ZnO in "Bobby Yeah". And in general the sound design in Morgan's works is great

Yeah, this release is such a huge deal. Very happy that Waxwork didn't bungle the cover art with their usual newly commissioned cartoon bullshit. Too bad we're all stuck with that wretched multicolor vinyl though.

I just ordered a copy and was thinking exactly the same thing.

mastered by thomas dimuzio too! thank god they're doing a cd. waxworks records are notoriously a gamble.

Tetsuo, Gummo, Eraserhead, Angst... probably already mentioned in this thread but those surely are masterpieces which I'd listen to without the films even. Back in my teenage years, I'd watch Begotten with Gnaw Their Tongues (take Reeking, Pained and Shuddering, for example) playing behind. It was nice to mix different albums with its visual madness, since so many seem appropiately fitting.
