Flutter was one of my first noise gigs that I attended. I don't quite remember how the show went but I do remember the band handing out twinkies to the crowd and watching them eat them was part of the "performance". I have yet to meet the guys but I do think they're still around, just maybe not coming to shows anymore or whatever. Kind of local legends amongst the older noise / underground guys here.

Which early noise artists started recording and releasing noise without being directly influenced by commonly cited musique concrète, electroacoustic or free improvisation works? Writings on the history of noise often credit such works for originating noise but it seems that many artists were recording things close to noise independent of the usual influences. Tools like portable recorders and effects units becoming more widely available must have enabled lots of people to experiment with noisy sounds without knowing about the precursors to noise; the possibilities are obvious when the tools are in front of you.

I recieved Sexorama boxset today. Bought it as Statutory Tape but i think it's the RRRecords one, writes 'Re-released on RRRecords' and i cant see Statutory Tape written anywhere, or STATAP catalog number, though the text on the spine is not entirely visible due to black tape used to hold the broken box together.

Can anyone confirm if label and catalog number are mentioned on the ST version and where ? Or how can tell the difference ? I m fine with any of these, just to know what i have.

I can't really answer the question, but as a slight aside, I am currently enjoying CD1 of the Oliveros 11CD box. This CD is '61-'65 timeframe. It has quiet, spacious parts, ...and also some Noise, with a capital N.

Anyone here familiar with the Inchindown oil tanks in Scotland? The world's longest reverb was recorded here [112 seconds]. Pretty amazing. My coworker mentioned it yesterday and he's planning on visiting it this fall.

Yesterday at Tower Transmissions, project called "Pffft...!" was best surprise! Total industrial noise with massive sound. I had no idea what to expect and it was easily among the best and had zero expectations.

GO new gig tape was purchased and also Kommando had released special packaged tape, 2025 album that is only available at the gigs. Gig was very good!

This year sound is louder than before and pretty high expectations for today.

After writing on TT report that I liked early Thorofon, but the later beat oriented industrial didn't really click with me, but I got to say the new tape is pretty damn good. I do stand in position of not being fan of the beat oriented, more "musical" tracks, but the aggressive heavy electronics of this new Thorofon recordings is great!

Nice! Now that Noisextra been quiet and WCN is doing public episodes only every other week, it feels that there would be indeed need for more. I like the story telling part of the beginning, where little bits of Finn noise history gets told while casually reporting about approaching to TT fest. With interview, language shifts into English and Peter of L.White is talking a lot about the festival, but also his label/band. Nice interview that is more like Peter talking things and barely need to ask specific questions! When it ends, Mika just mentions there could have been way more. Indeed, I think with specific questions one could have easily added probably another hour? hah..

Peter talks about Sutcliffe Jugend first gig. This was released by RRR as SUTCLIFFE JUGEND "first official live action" cd. I made the recording with portable mini disc recorder and I think there should exists many other artists. Pretty much entire "yankee know how" tour was recorded, video and audio. Mostly it is not transferred to computer, but there is that Prurient "I Used To Sell Flowers By The Roadside" 6 Tapes box thing that came out where I submitted some of the live recordings I had segments of those are published.

This SJ gig crossed over with the tour in way that Prurient/Can't/Emil played at same night. One of funniest memories of that night is that after the sets, SJ guys handed RRRon t-shirt they had printed for the show, and RRRon takes of his sweaty as fuck shirt he was currently wearing and hands it to guys in trade. There is SJ guy with old, worn-out, wet t-shirt in his hand and clearly thinking "WTF"!
I have poster of this gig plastered on wall of my reh place, but don't remember was Grunt mentioned as part of the bill? I did play there, just before SJ, but it was like 6 minutes long show of smashing junk metal, feedback and screams, taking off shirt on stage and.... well, almost like Prurient cover set!

The ZSS/XE live CD from 2023 is one of the best XE recordings I've heard. The hazy recording quality is great for its feverish atmosphere. Less controlled live setting adds irregular details to repeating sounds that keep repetitions interesting.

Well, first of all, it is four years old case, so I recall it was dealt with sometime in forums cancelation / smear campaign related topics where others were active.

I usually find it quite amazing how people who are facing questions about people they know, can't simply reply that even the UG scene is so small, that people who operate there, tend to know each other to extent and as most do not follow any strict political doctrines, but simply approach it from perspective of creative or exceptional art. By doing so, you tend to meet exceptional artist. Then again, when you realize that in the very same scene you got people of every age and full spectrum of mental abilities, highly diverse levels of involvement or knowledge and very quickly understand there is very little point or need to explain to... for example agitated mentally unwell youngster or maybe elderly indie punk daddy, who who would never grasp even how come in noise there are so different kinds of people, and ideas, involved and they most often get along just fine.

Topic is by now, so damn old and tired, it feels quite useless to dig up 5 year old cases.

Been busy with a lot of things and very short periods of time next to stereos for long enough time to really focus on listening full length releases. New AWENYDD tape was great! Its untitled, like some of his other tapes too. I mean this one:

It is partially like post mortem, almost death industrial sound, bleeding into contemporary rugged-noise-synth-vocal-piano-loop thing. Listened few times and liking very much! There isn't really bad things from artist at all, but this one, could be even among best?

Yeah you're right, I wasn't aware at the time and I came across it only recently without checking the date. Anyway, all correct what you say, I wanted to point again toward the pseudo-political average "outrage" of all these people, especially in Berlin, who are never missing the point in raising a scandal without knowning anything but the surface of things, and the reaction of Ostgut Ton, again a demonstration that what moves this "scene" is anything but money and image.
