Holy fuck :D

The sound clips sounded interesting. I suspect he'd shit his pants if he ever heard Junko.

Actually you're right. Taken out of context, they'd make a nice backing layer for a track. In fact I had something like that in mind...

quite obsessed by Maccio Capatonda. Currently very fashionable and commercial Italian comedy, but with a surreal touch that left me breathless many times

Why did I just read that?! Haha. Very comedic indeed. I'm sure her NYT bestseller is almost upon us!

Sturmfieber

For me it would be stuff like The Young Ones, Monty Python, Blackadder, old Simpsons, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Beavis and Butthead (especially their commentary on music videos... one of the best ones being the one they did for the Poison video, hahaha!), Cromartie High School (especially the episode about trolling), The Whitest Kids U Know, Married With Children, Chappelle's Show (Clayton Bigsby, hehehe), Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Monkey Dust.

And for movies, Fletch, Idiocracy, Tunnel Vision, Airplane, Spinal Tap, Fear of a Black Hat (the rap version of Spinal Tap), and Happiness are a few that come to mind.

Checked out some of the stuff mentioned here and got into Peep Show, Bob's Burgers, Nighty Night, and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

ONE

It's no surprise at all that Rowan Atkinson has appeared in this thread (Blackadder was and will remain hilarious, thanks largely to scriptwriters Richard Curtis & Ben Elton) - but Mr. Bean?  Certainly his most financially rewarding character (a fleet of Aston Martin's don't come cheap) unlike Beans' gags: ten-a-penny sub-Benny Hill prop-based funnies.  Next time you praise the rubber-mouth fool for his wit, consider Monsieur Hulot.

It's a shame as it started so well w/ his membership of the Not The Nine O'Clock News collective.

Oddly, Pam Stevenson abandoned comedy (could her marriage to Scottish comic Billy Connolly be implicated?) and now writes a agony aunt column specialising in sexual relationship issues for The Guardian ...

I was raised on this double LP; it even reached the top ten UK album charts - unheard of for what is essentially a spoken word album.

Speaking of Scottish comedians, let us not overlook Jerry Sadowitz he's a tough man to find on YouTube what w/ his ruthless take-down approach but money spent on a Sadowitz gig is money outrageously well spent.

You can find an example of his oeuvre here.  Prescient for the time.  Beautiful.

I'd echo the comments regarding Python's, The Meaning Of Life.  Untouchable weapons grade comedy.
