Black Hole is such a great release. I like how Pasi maintains his projects interconnected, with themes and even sounds and lyrics overlapping, either on BU or XE. "Sieg Heil", for example, being the XE equivalent of BU's "Final". I fanthom his approach is aesthetically ambiguous within the PE framework: at the same time strongly personal and real-life-experience-based to an extent its extreme individualistic nature outsmarts many other projects, whils still pretty damn volatile for music of a so often minimalistic and repetitive nature.
One of the things I like about this release is the dominant female voice present on "Boot to Vagina", where you hear a lot of women screaming at the same time at a cacophonous pace, yet entirely ininteligible for non-finnish speaking people... like me. The thing is, one doesn't often hear female vocals like this on Noise, perhaps with the exception of the Behemoth that was Sarah on CE. Most female vocals usually sound sexy and introspective or "disturbed"; but here we have something that marked my mind, and it gets just great with Pasi's participation with recycled (mantras, not) lyrics, as the women above keep on screaming "VIHA & KIMA, VIHA & KIMA, VIHA & KIMA".
Also noteworthy is Peter Steele's short participation at the end of "Sex & Violence", a song with the same title as one of the legendary Carnivore's: "Take it easy."Now, I didn't expect that, haha.
