Quote from: BatteredStatesofEuphoria on January 24, 2026, 11:49:50 PMThe Carnivore fandom was always pretty clear from a lot of references. I'm pretty sure the speech of You Know Who.. from "Duetschland" off Apocalyptic Struggle is the same sampled on Carnivore's "Jesus Hitler." And I bet that was no coincidence.

Quote from: Wrath on January 24, 2026, 11:07:30 PM"Not negative attitude against the actual faggots"

lol, this quote is 100% pure, concentrated BU.

Exactly! Filth & Violence almost seems to be a nod to the Carnivore song on Retaliation Sex & Violence.

Quote from: Wrath on January 24, 2026, 11:07:30 PMI asked Bizarre Uproar about the negative attitude answer and he said -
"It must be lost in translation between English-Russian-English. It was about anti-gay politics: pride/rainbow shite and everything around those. Not negative attitude against the actual faggots"

That's more what I was expecting it to mean.  I was thinking, "didn't he do a collab with Black Leather Jesus?"  ha

New BU "Hardline" LP/CD and 4 BU reissues (I hope this is the rarities stuff mentioned in an earlier post?) coming "soon" apparently: https://verikiima.wordpress.com/

XE - Rarities vol.3 was released by Wrath but I guess it best fits under this topic. Nice selection of material from 2009 to 2025. Good balance between newer discipline by repetition and earlier feedback torture. 2025 rehearsal session has the most venomous vocals I've heard for a while and the version of Aseveljeys that closes the disc is true ELITE POWER ELECTRONICS. Recommended to those who prefer their sex with a bit of pain.

Snuff - Eerika CD-R

This was advertised to come with a morbid odor. Luckily it was only dried blood between the jewel case covers. I feared that it's going to be shit, rotting meat or something...The otherwise clear case was also wrapped in black plastic, similar to the art edition of Cunt Animal. This is the kind of packaging that once opened, cannot be put together in the same way. But it's anyway better to open for listening purposes than to let just stand in the shelf, because it's top-tier F&V release.

The title refers to a particularly abhorrent crime in Finland, the murder of an 8-year-old Vilja Eerika by her parents. It happened in 2012 and got a big media coverage. I re-read the details and it's a genuinely sickening case. But Snuff wants to make everyone sick and disgusted, so the subject fits well. The promo text also mentioned a loose band member connection.

The first track opens up with a very low-volume sample describing the case. It's quickly drowned by piercing feedback Snuff is known for. The squeals are also contrasted with metal scraping and squeaky electronics that sound very tasty.

The second track uses interesting sampling. Before rumbling noise, scraping and disturbing voices begin, there's several minutes of snippets from what I think is a Finnish cover band's gig. All the actual songs are cut out and just the mumbled speaks between the tracks are left. The main perpetrator, Touko Tarkki, was apparently some sort of karaoke champion. The samples evoke a feeling of a miserable drunken night in a regular bar of his. No idea what the source actually is, but this is what comes to my mind. It continues the similar mystery as in Snuff II. That one had a very long recording from a swimming hall with sounds of children. In that context, it stirred up images of a predator watching children play at the pool.

The Cunt Animal art edition mentioned earlier came with and exclusive CD-R. That was also very good! No filler, or just weird field recordings, but tracks that keep up the steady quality or recent BU releases. CA is such a romantic album, that the triumphant atmosphere of the CD-R fit well as a companion piece.

I was particularly blown away by this release, one of their best in my eyes. I can't help but wonder what Pasi meant when he wrote it had a "loose SNUFF member connection."

Thanks for reviewing this. I only listened to it a couple times since I received, but i've been wondering where did the samples might come from, as well as what the title referred to. If i remember correctly, it was described as some kind of the Kristiina release follow up? I might be wrong though. Would you or some else have more infos about that, by any chance? Always been curious.

Completely agree the Reh track in particular is monstrous. Only listened once so far but must revisit. It's easy to sideline rarities discs like this as "only for the diehards" but I think the material here is really strong. In some ways I find it much more immediate than the new album.

I haven't popped in Rarities 3 just yet, as I've previously heard some of the material. The new album definitely is different with the low pitched vocals and can be a little repetitive in some ways, especially on the last track, but think it'll be a grower of an album with a few more listens. One thing I've always found crafted very well in XE, is this perfect balance of vocals buried deep within the noise, it's layered in a way, that's projected to the listener very nicely. The new album seems to showcase that done well in my personal opinion.

Yeah I have listened 7-8 times all the way through and what stands out to me is the layering of the different sound sources. I feel a bit absurd calling an XE album "subtle" but there is definitely a lot of detail that goes into it, especially on the later material.

Since May 2025 I've been heavily interested in Bizarre Uproar, Filth And Violence and related acts. Thirty plus releases later I still find myself naive on the bigger picture yet I feel what I have collected is a fraction of Markkula's vision that I'm beyond just proud of to have in my collection. Between discogs, label websites and bandcamp I have put a lot into it. Between a few VG+, a lot of NM and some M. There is so much out there I am interested in and I would like to further explain later today my absolute highlights of what I have. I am mostly here to learn and not say and to show my interest in interacting with other supporters. I don't know if this is a cliche message to a board that I just joined but here I am.

I have been aware of acts like Richard Ramirez, The Rita, Vomir and surrounding circles since 2012. So I know harshness. I think how I feel about Bizarre Uproar/Filth And Violence is how people could of felt seeing the cover of Third Annual Report from TG but 100x with how I have felt receiving my mail pieces. Some artists seem tame or dated  compared to the artistic statements of Markkula's vision. Even peculiar out of context photos from years prior seem like it isn't pushing much boundaries. As for the noise itself brutal sonic warfare.

As I said later today I will make another most of my highlights of collecting.
