I'm beginning to get the ball rolling on this, a deluxe CD box including the first 3 classic Ultra LPs ('Youthful Pleasures', 'Zoll' and 'Spray/Death/Ultra') and also the 'Roman Holiday' tracks. I'm trying to gauge the interest in a release like this, since most people I know seem to be of the 'no one buys CDs anymore' mindset. If anyone has thoughts/opinions, please share. Thanks.

300-500 copies. Do it! NOW!!!

Looking forward to it.

Surely there would be an audience for a release like this.

Very interested, though I also wouldn't mind seeing nice LP reissues like you did for Roman Holiday.  Either way I'd buy them.

I think noise CD's still sell well. It's all matter of doing realistic pressing of something what stands out a bit. From my personal experiences I could say CD's are the format what sells the most, and easiest.

I rarely do buy CD's but when I do it's for compendiums like this. VERY INTERESTED.

The live tape is a fraud/joke.

I traded the debut LP to a friend as he wanted it badly & had something I wanted (a Broken Flag LP, I think) so I definitely want to hear it again. "Zoll" is excellant & was the first thing The Saint sent me along with some tasty  sex crime images.

The 3rd LP, I have one of 4 letter'd boxset editions; me & the 3 band members. Mine has extra layers of black paint. Too bad the Spanish artist quit doing those weird clay figure creatures he made...

I still buy CDs and would purchase this ASAP!

Would you add the live 1986 CS material as another disc, or maybe as a bonus tape reissue for pre-orders or something?

Like Keith said, this tape isn't really official and is a fake 'live' recording. I don't even have a copy, though I downloaded it recently and was surprised at it's listenability. One of the songs on there that did not make the 1st LP may see the light of day at a later date.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I will be going ahead with this project when I get the budget to do so, hopefully within the next year.

There are at least five of these, as I have one as well, which I got from Saint Degeneratus at the time that it came out.  I wish I hadn't worn out the T-shirt...

I have pretty much everything that ULTRA has done, and I would even buy this CD box set.  My understanding is that there are at lease a few odds and ends from that period (like the ULTRA cover of CHARLES MANSON "Garbage Dump") that would make the box worth having.  Plus it would be nice to have a CD burn of "Zoll" to slip in the car stereo while cruising around.
