So Death Grips are dead now. Conflicted feelings about this...they were an exciting project so it sucks. However, it makes sense to kill it now because it would just be weird for a band like this to exist for many years. They don't seem like the kind of guys who will resurrect a dead project, either. So, by ending it now when they're probably at their peak of popularity, they are cementing their legacy. Don't be surprised years down the road when you start seeing lots of musicians citing Death Grips as a big influence.

This band should be at the top of the list for anyone who listens to noise/pe/metal and wants to listen to some hiphop/rap that isn't the stereotypical pop crap. Dark, drugged-out gutter punk attitude and harsh, glitched out sounds. MC Ride's lyrics and delivery create an intense, paranoid, and fucked-up atmopshere. Plus, the dude has the Necronomicon sigil of the gateway tattooed on his chest and a pentagram on his back. Not many rappers with that kind of ink, haha
