I especially liked the the XE / Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes split (its a shame that this is so difficult to find!)

Just noticed news that there is apparently an official reissue coming (on vinyl?) through Goatowarex/Viva Angel Press. And yeah, this is a great release! I love Reek of the Unzen Gasfumes!

It looks really cool.  Picture disc (not sure if it is one or two), plus new track by both XE and RotUGF!

Damn! Bonustracks! Have to get it then. Just ordered the ZSS vinyl, should have waited for this one too...

I really like both bands, and the new tracks sound really interesting - I'm just not sure whether that is enough to justify the shipping from China to the US!  But, then again, it is Goatawarex, so any hesitation and it will be gone...  I am really looking forward to his exclusive Wrath releases, though (XE and ZSS!).

Into_The_Void

amazing label, always loved the irriverence and politically uncorrectness behind it. Was in contact with the guy a couple of years ago - more or less when the XE re-releases have been published. Very difficult to pick up a release or a project, but if I have to mention a favourite, I would say Bizarre Uproar, Sick seed, Snuff, XE. Raw and arrogant power electronics as its filthiest.
Somebody knows if the finnish website is still active? I´ve only found the new UK division.

The website/social media (youtube, etc.) were both deleted a few months ago.  I have been meaning to email the label to see if there is a mailing list, but have yet to do so.

If someone doesnt want to order items from nhfastore or there is not available or wants to support artists directly and does not know the email, send PM and I can give it.

Label is easily reachable, but at this moment doesn't have website or social media. Nothing dramatic, nor worth of speculation. just return the old school ways.

The old school order via email contact works nice, just ask for sales list. I've ordered a few times lately.

Front Line Fighters is the best XE in a while. Elements are familiar but it's not an endurance test like Snuff V. Tasty feedback, metal scraping and triumphant atmosphere. Especially the last track with looping SMASH THE REDS scream is amazing.

Looking back at F&V catalogue, there were many similarly themed projects that vanished around 2017/2018: Black State, Menacing '84, Vernichtung Durch Arbeit, Prussian Walls... Would be interesting to know are these active anymore. Is it just the same person(s) who stopped recording for whatever reasons?

I think at least three of the four of those projects you mention are either the same person or closely associated persons.  Black State especially needs to make a return.  If Iron Clad can do it, I think any of them could?

I guess I need to get the new XE.  I wasn't too into 18 or Black Hole, so I stopped following new solo releases (with the exception of the ZSS collabs, which were amazing).

It's a shame one of the guys in Black State is long gone, I've tried to talk to another individual in the group about a new album but I don't think it will ever happen.

Hlose is unironically one of the best PE albums to ever come out, so I can see why one of the guys quit after that. Maybe thinking he couldn't make anything that'll top it (so why even try).

I could not agree more Hlose is nearly flawless! An absolute modern era classic. I think Hlose is much better than the previous releases before it. I think they could of topped it and in my opinion it felt like they were just warming up in the right direction for more audio devastation to come.

I'm not sure what information you can disclose, but was that why he left (all pe?)?  Because he felt like he accomplished all that he wanted?

New album?

Agreed. Especially Black State is great, I'm a huge fan. Hlose is fantastic and I really like the two tapes We Hate Them and Voices Of The Dead Battalions. The other two are a bit too minimal. Still happy to own the original cassettes.

Asked P. (F&V) about Black State a few years ago and he said a new album was 'in the works'. Assume it is now canceled based on what I've heard in this thread. Would be a shame.

Yes, new XE this week!

How long ago did you ask Pasi about Black State?  Any other info shared?

It has been curious to notice how many F&V titles I got quite many copies in stock, but for reason or another, they appeared sold out at the store. To keep up with FV stuff, there is also possibility to browse:
https://www.nhfastore.net/other-labels/fv
Its possible some of f&v titles are not there yet, but most items are on list.
